Parade of sardineras….

Sighting sardineras in the port of Santurtzi
DESCRIPTION:

You cannot come to Bilbao without approaching this traditional population, even if it is to taste the dish that has made it famous: its sardines! There is almost nothing left of those times when Santurtzi was the most important port for inshore fishing and was traveled by the romantic figures of the sardineers !!

Discover the beautiful panoramic view of the Bahía del Abra, the open-air museum of sculptures, the essential fishing port and the Paseo de la Reina Victoria where you can appreciate the seafaring past of this singular Biscayan town. Ride a fishing boat stranded on land or find the mystery of corsairs and pirates.

Let yourself be enveloped by its smell, its tradition and its people. Discover amazing places.

The visit ends in the most Bilbao style, we are leaving pintxos !! (pintxo-pote included in the tour). The pintxo is the 5th essence, a snack the size of a bite.

Option 1. Sardineras Parade Tour

Tour that covers the historical part of Santurtzi, the Santurtzi Itsasoa Interpretation Center, Agurtza Fishing Interpretation Center, among many other things. Tasting of a pintxo-pote.

Option 2. Food tour

During our tour, in which we explained the origin and development of the port, we visited four traditional places to taste the typical pintxos (a kind of Basque version of tapas), one of the specialties of the fabulous cuisine of the Basque Country.

In this way, we will have the opportunity to fully integrate ourselves in the way of life and customs of the people of Bilbao, getting to know the old part of the city, as we get to know the most traditional pintxos and the reason for their origin, among other curiosities.

Option 3. Sardineras Parade Tour to Portugalete

Tour that covers the historical part of Santurtzi, the Santurtzi Itsasoa Interpretation Center, Agurtza Fishing Interpretation Center, among many other things. Tasting of a pintxo-pote. We will continue through the second Biscayan town, Portugalete and we will finish at the Bizkaia Bridge.
